Kim Mays
Kim Mays began her career as a 1994 graduate from Kennesaw University in Georgia, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing. Shortly thereafter, Kim began her business career as a wound consultant and sales representative for a start up medical company in Atlanta. During her 5 year tenure at the company, Kim played a significant role in growing the company’s client base and expanding the company’s business into multiple states throughout the Southeastern United States. In order to better serve her clients and develop her career, while working with the company Kim obtained a specialty certification in wound care therapy from Emory University in 1996.
After moving to Dallas, Texas in 1999, Kim took a position as a Lead Sales Representative with a national medical supply company and shortly thereafter was promoted to Regional Sales Manager. After her 10 year successful career in medical consulting and sales, Kim made the decision to become a stay at home mom and care for her two young daughters.
It was not long before Kim’s entrepreneurial spirit began to surface and an interest in jewelry design lead her into creating a unique necklace she trademarked the “Bofo™” (slang for backward/forward). The Bofo™ necklace was designed by Kim to adorn the wearers back as well as the front. Kim has designed some Great pieces for Celebration Fashions’ current line.
